RYAN RIPKEN

Ryan Ripken was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. Ryan is the son of MLB Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. and Kelly Ripken. He attended Gilman School in Baltimore where he played under head coach and former Baltimore Orioles player Larry Sheets. Ryan was an Under Armour High School All American. Ryan was drafted in the 20th round by the Baltimore Orioles in 2012. Instead of signing professionally he decided to go to the University of South Carolina. After one season at USC Ryan transferred to Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was drafted a second time by the Washington Nationals in the 15th round of the 2014 draft. Ryan played professionally with the Washington Nationals organization from 2014 to 2016 then signed with the Baltimore Orioles organization where he played from 2017 to 2021. Ryan appeared in 428 games, had 1,532 at bats, 359 hits, 160 RBI's, 117 runs scored and 20 homeruns over his professional career. He reached the AAA level with the Baltimore Orioles.

Away from the field Ryan is a content creator and podcaster centered around professional sports and fantasy football. Ripken is working toward a bachelor’s degree in Global Logistics Business Management from the Arizona State W.P. Carey School of Business and is pursuing a career in sports media. Ryan will be an analyst on the Baltimore Baseball Show on 105.7 The Fan and appears frequently on TV and radio news to discuss baseball, football and other hot topics in the sporting world.

Ryan is available at The Baseball Warehouse for private instruction on hitting and defense, coaching at camps, special events and helping with the Badgers.
