Speed and Agility

Coach Edge, CPT, CSCS, CSPS has been in the fitness industry for 27 years.  24 years as a certified trainer. Certified with:  NSPA, NSCA, and MORR/ Chip Smith , ACE.

​Coach Edge holds a Bachelors of Science in Health/ Physical Education from Frostburg State University. Post Graduate studies at Western Maryland College/ McDaniel College. Former health and physical education teacher with HCPS. Former owner of Edge Sports Performance and Fitness Center. Former owner of Motion Concepts Sports Camps. Coach Edge has spoken nationally for Nutramax Labs on Strength and Conditioning for NSCA as well as for MAPHERD for fitness education. Recognized in Baltimore Magazine as “Baltimore’s Top Trainer” in 2004

Coach Edge had 8 seasons under Coach John Philbin as assistant strength coach of the Washington Nationals. 

Coach Edge is an Instructor and facilitator coach for National Strength Professionals Association (NSPA)  for certification of strength coaches and personal trainers 1999- present 

Coach Edge was the Strength and Conditioning Coach for National and World Champion Kimmie Meissner where together they attended the Russian Cup in Moscow. 

Coach Edge has trained multiple Div I, II, and III college athletes in Soccer, Lacrosse, Football, Baseball, Field Hockey, Softball, Basketball and Ice Hockey. He has also trained multiple professional athletes in: Baseball, Football, and Lacrosse.

Coach Edge resides in Harford County with his son Gannon, and daughter Mackenzie.

The Baseball Warehouse speed & agility program is focused on injury prevention and increasing each players individual athletic ability. Our program focuses on teaching the player how to increase speed and athletic movement efficiency. All of our methods have been proven successful in Major League Baseball and have been validated by the strength & conditioning scientific community. 

The program is only successful if the player is willing to:

  • Listen and learn as the instructor teaches...We expect 100% adherence and drive for perfection.
  • Come early and warm up properly on their own to properly prepare for the training.
  • Be well hydrated and needs to be conscious of good eating habits in order to maximize the training effect and appropriate shoes with stability.
  • Be prepared to exert 100% effort on every drill unless told otherwise in order for the central nervous system to increase speed.
  • Be mentally prepared for either a timed drill or a competitive environment (team) in order to simulate game speed preparation.
  • The player will be tested periodically to establish a starting base and systematically show progress increases.
